Mr. and Mrs. Claus

I always mentally gear up for either a 2 year old tantrum or a 4 year old whine fest when we head out for "a full day"... We started the day way too early, randomly lost power for an hour (BRRRR!!!!!) and the enviroment in our home without caffeine, power and sleep got quite hostile this morning! I had one thing literally on top of another today which included getting Camryn to preschool late and being one of the last parents to pick up (as Reese decided to catch up on the sleep I lost when she woke at the crack of dawn). Seemed like a pretty awful canvas to then include a trip to the mall to see Santa and Mrs. Claus but I could not have had a better afternoon!!! Could have helped that we were meeting our good friends there too - but nonetheless, all 7 of the kids we had in tow were a lot of fun!

We began with a successful meeting with the big man himself (Reese was terrified last year) so I was taking each small victory as it came! Reese just lifted her arms right up to him and sat on his lap in awe...Camryn listed 1,034,234 things she could want for Christmas (my mom thinks she gets it from me, PSHHHH! :), when she was wrapping up she turned to me and said "did I forget anything?" and I said, "Yep, asking for world peace"...I thought it was funny...

We then ventured on with our friends to find Mrs. Claus and our other friends - when we found her, we enjoyed cookies, candy canes and a story from the Mrs. herself! The kids really got a kick out of the whole time - it was a lot of fun!
Here's our successful Santa photo:

I love Kyle and Reese keeping an eye on her in the last one. It was an awesome day (or at least afternoon).
